Artichoke extract (cynara scolymus) has been used in traditional medicine for centuries to treat liver and gallbladder problems. Cynarine, the active substance, mobilizes fat deposits in the liver (fatty liver), supports the liver in its detoxifying function, cleanses the gallbladder, helps with poor digestion of fats and lowers high cholesterol.

It also plays a role in lipolysis (fat burning) by helping to mobilize and remove ‘white fat’ (the unhealthy fat that the body, unlike brown fat, has difficulty burning).
